I remember him being in our neighborhood in the late 80's. I believe either he was in a film being shot on Arthur Avenue off of E 187th street, having lunch at a Deli and everyone scrambling to get his autograph. I didnt know who he was at the time, and years later, becoming a Godfather fan, I was like, Wow..I actually had a chance to meet him but I didnt know who he was. Talk about missed opportunties. I remember him being very tan, a little bit of a tummy, and smoking a cigarette. He had a raspy voice, like he was a heavy smoker or something. He was with 2 other men at the time.
