First off, this is my first post and I have had a nagging question for a long while so my apologies if this is answered anywhere else on this board but...
Can anyone please tell me why the dons were handing around a tray of jewelery when Michael was paying out the checks before Zasa's attempted hit?

Welcome to the boards Dave. This has been discussed in other threads, and there are various theories about this scene. Obviously this was stolen jewelry they were passing around to pick and choose as they pleased. The best explanation I recall is that it was a metaphor for their greed.
