Got into a interesting debate with a friend of mine and he suggested that the sole reason Michael corleone was shit don was because of his woman... My question is do you think Michael Corleone would of been a better don if he had apollonia by his side rather than kay.

I don't think that Kay had any influence over what Michael needed to do as far as running the family business. Michael did not base his decisions or run his family on what Kay thought or said.

Remember, we're talking the book here, and not the trilogy.
