I was looking at the family tree on the bonus materials disc. I'd never really taken that much notice of actual ages before, but Mike was listed as b.1920-d.1997.
This makes him 77 when he died. Is it only me or does he look far older than that at the end!!! I thought he would have been around 92 at least judging by the state of him ohwell

Keep in mind also that the dates in GF have been known to conflict (i.e. the birthdate on Vito Corleone's tombstone in GF I conflicts with his birthday on December 7th in GF II) wink

Yes, I agree, Mikey did seem to be much older than 77, but maybe stress made him look older than he really was.

Michael certainly looked older than a "normal" 77-year-old, but I think it was deliberate, to show how grief had worn him to a nub. I also think Michael may have been born in 1919, not 1920. Note the presence of soldiers in US "Doughboy" uniforms at the street fair in the Fanucci murder scene. Michael's a baby in that scene. The WWI armistice was declared on November 11, 1918. Soldiers in uniform would still have been around in 1919, probably not in 1920.

Well he's twenty one when he enlists in the marines. But it doesn't say when he does that, which is confusing.
It says in the book that at 17 Michael's masculinity was confirmed to the Don. What happened at 17, what am I missing?

Seriously, I hate that. Some people at 17 are damn mature, others need alot more growing up to do...and having sex doesn't "make you a man," imho. rolleyes

(BTW that's nothing against you BB Cheesemeister, I'm just rambling on... grin wink )
