Wow - that looks gorgeous!

Can it be ordered with optional bullet holes and shattered windshield?

Funny that you should say that. Earlier this evening I was talking with Mig about this car and I said that they should make a series of them :

Santino getting shot by a bullet ridden car,
Carlo getting strangled by Clemenza with a shttered windsheild,
Vito and his three sons standing by the car.

Yes, I agree. A terrible rendition of Vito Corleone. Never the less it still looks pretty cool.

Rumor has it that Mark Winegardner is the one who sculpted that figure in the back seat.

I thought it was Raymond Burr. But that is a pretty neat toy. I need some Godfather paraphernalia for my basement.

The car looks just SO COOL...
but the toys ruins it, it would be GREAT if it's bullet holes and covered with blood of Santino!

I think it looks a little like Luca Brasi.

After reading that, I HAD to go back and check it out. You're right, SC!! I guess it's supposed to be a cigar, but it does look like a cannoli!

Vito didn't smoke, so it must be a cannoli.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread, but the cars are available from a few sellers on eBay.

I've noticed that the prices for the car seem to vary - the lower the opening bid (or Buy-It-Now price), the higher the shipping charges - one seller's vig...er, S/H can be up to $20. That seems excessive to me, to put it mildly. But if you look at the prices and the postage together, they all seem to add up (more or less) to around $40, or a little higher.

"Don't like the shipping charges? F*** you, pay me!"

Sorry...wrong movie.

It's also available directly from Jada toys. You can find it by clicking on one of the banner links on this board and then doing a search through Amazon.

I did an Internet search with the words Godfather diecast car and found more vendors for comparison shopping. Some are real ripoffs, I have to say. As the proverb goes, "One who has choice, has troubles."

As far as Amazon, here is the link: Amazon.com: Godfather car

The vendor seems to be iDcow Inc. rather than Jada Toys themselves (unless I don't know where to look - which is always a distinct possibility).

One interesting thing about the scale of this car: 1/18 scale was larger than I expected, having grown up with stuff like Matchbox and Corgi. From the descriptions I've read, it's almost 4" wide and nearly 12" long.

Maybe it should've been called Sonny's Car!
