There is a "ghost" (or reflection) of a female mourner during Vito's funeral in my DVD collection copy. The image appears as Michael and Hagen preside over the funeral and discuss Tessio's treason. The image appears to the right of the screen near Michael's head. The reflection appears to be an error made in remixing the original film into digital format, or whatever. Has anyone else noticed this? In my dvd the image does not just off and on, it lingers and is quite noticeable, although somewhat faint. Weird.

And, of course, I apologize for not looking up the thread (make that threads) on the subject before I concocted my first post on a subject already much discussed. As I thought, it appears to have been an editing oversight, but I wonder why it shows up only on the DVD and not in the video version, nor, I presume, in the film version.

You can tell it was a mistake because it shows the reflection of flowers too.

Hey could somebody tell me EXACTLY when you're supposed to see it? I mean what's being said, y'know? Because honestly I can't find it and I am fascinated to see it...

this is just a reflection on the left or right side of the screen. its like the Pacino and DeNiro on the screen together, remember that shot? i believe this is before Michael gets up on Don Vito's funeral. . .

My sister noticed this when we were watching the Godfather video ....at Vito's funeral....she said it looked like a woman but I couldnt see it so clearly.

its pretty obvious on the dvd, did they remaster the video?

You can see it when micheal is looking down at the coffin and tessio comes up to him and says can I speak to you for a minute.While hes standing up you can see it on the right of the screen.

I know they didnt take it out of the boxed set because thats where I first saw it.

Wow...I just noticed the reflection today when I was watching it on my computer...it kinda freaked me out. I couldn't figure out what it was:)

Hehe, yeah I got a little specific there, didn't I? It's only cuz I just watched the movie on my computer about an hour beore(which is why I wandered over here) and the disc was still in my computer.
