Why does the NFL test for marijuana?

It's as natural as peaches and oranges

Because it is an illegal drug.

I can't believe it, he's such a good boy. I think that he is getting a bum rap, there is no way little Ricky could ever do this again.

What's he bloody playing at? He made a decent return last season and as far as I understood he didn't bring any unneccessary attention to himself on or off the field. I could be wrong because I don't quite get all the programs and other media outlets you guys do but that's the impression I had.

There was even talk of trade rumours, including Denver where he could shine. And because of last seasons little redemption he potentially could have had good contracts offered to him. What's his trade value now? Nothing.

Of course he's gonna appeal, and a confidential source has supposedly told ESPN that the drug he tested positive for is not marujuana.

As in most cases in which someone is accused of one thing or nother, I'm inclined to wait until all of the facts come out before passing judgement.

Specifically, what drug did he test positive for, and what is the basis of his appeal?
