Very simple, who are your personal favorites. This only pertains to those that are currently active in the MLB.
My Picks:
Jeff Conine OF/1B Florida Marlins - As a Marlins fan since the beginning, this is a no-brainer. The only member of both 1997 and 2003 Championship squads of the franchise, Conine was also a member of the club in its Inaugural season back in 1993. Always a solid ballplayer throughout his career, he was also at one time the MVP of the MLB All-Star Game. To Marlins fans, he IS "Mr. Marlin".
Ichiro Suzuki RF Seattle Mariners - I just love the way he plays. In an era where you could be a mediocre player but if you have a 40-HR season, you get a juicy guaranteed contract...and then go bust(like Suzuki's teammate Adrian Beltre. $11.4 million for .236 BA and 5 HRs?!?). However, Suzuki's strength is his bat, but not for SPORTSCENTER-worthy Homerun highlights. Instead he gets on base, sometimes on an infield single due to his speed(which also has scored him 15 stolen bases so far this season). He was highly-touted when he came here to the States after the Mariners franchise paid $15 million *upfront* to the man's Japanese club to get the "negotiation rights".(Not including the many more millions that went into his contract), but he delivered upon his promise. Becoming both the AL MVP and AL Rookie of the Year in 2001 in the club's 100+win season(which prematurely ended at the ends of the Yankees).
Since then, hes been an annual fixture at the All-Star Game for the American League, and of course last season broke the decades-long held record for Most Hits in a Season.
While the possibility of the guy to hit .400 seems to be at best now wishful thinking(he's batting .321), hes definately one of the best in the game. Just wonder what more damage he could have done if he had come to the States sooner.
Ivan Rodriguez C Detroit Tigers - Actually, I loved this guy, or "Pudge" as most of us know him, before he played for the Marlins back in 2003. The AL MVP back in 1999 in the prime of his career when people called him possibly the greatest player in his position since Johnny Bench(I mean damn...) before he had several injuries to his knees, at which the Rangers let go into Free Agency for they felt he was on the declining years of his career.
Opps.
Joined the Marlins on a $10 million 1-season contract in 2003, he actually had a slightly-worse season compared to his last season with the Rangers, but his veteran experience, plus his leadership skills, led the Marlins to the WS title in 2003(along with being named NLCS MVP). At season's end, negotiations between him and the Fish failed("Pudge" wanted about $7-10 million upfront for each season, while the Fish didn't want to pay it). So instead Pudge got his money with the Detroit Tigers, which while the club tanked, he improved his stats and went back to his 11th All-Star Game.
"Pudge" is a future first-ballot Hall of Fame.
While I think up of more players, you all tell me...and especially all of you Yankees fans.

Roy Halladay, Eric Hinske, Orlando Hudson, Reed Johnson, Corey Koskie, Larry Walker.
Aaron Hill is also developing into a personal favorite of mine. The guy has tremendous potential and could be a future George Brett/Paul Molitor type of hitter.

All of my Astros are personal favorites. Except some of the relievers...I don't trust them. Roger Clemens is my top all-time favorite player for his talent, determination, and effort as a player, and I just like him on a personal level, too. (Not like I know him, but I like his image as a person...) And Brad Lidge. I love him! For other teams, there's no real favorite that sticks out. I'm a fan of several guys either because I respect their skills or just happen to take a liking to them, but for no unique reason. I also like most former Astros (except Beltran), such as Richard Hidalgo and Jeff Kent. I miss them, so it's good to still get to cheer for them sometimes.
