I used to be but the passion for it went about 3 seasons ago. I still follow it and keep up to date with the happenings. I too was a Villeneuve fan.

Sadly the sport has lost most of it's appeal because of the dominance of Michael Schumacher, if he was in a Minardi he wouldn't have had any of that success. The arrival of Montoya has helped the sport a bit, his fierce attitude to racing is well welcomed. He's kind of replaced the Villeneuve spirit.

For British fans, the support has been growing for Button, it's good to see any of our country men on the podium but we're just desperate for that win that would surely come if it wasn't for Schumacher. I'd predict a podium finish for the lad today, something for the home croud to be proud of.

So die all who betray Giuliano

well ferrari have already won the constructors series and micheal schmachear will probably win it AGAIN (they should make him drive with his eyes closed)
A mate of mine went to to silverstone this weekend to watch the F1.
Even tho they all messed about in qualifying.

Formula 1 is not much fun anymore. All the cool drivers left the paddock or are gone (JV, Irvine, Senna) and the replacements are not that good.

I tought that Montoya and Raikonen are good drivers but they disappoint me. Hopefully JV will join the circus again next year.

About Michael Schumacher, no fun this dude is winning all the time ....... he is absolutely the best driver but like Turi said what will he do in a Minardi.

Wishfull thinking ......

Looking back to the 1996 (Damon Hill champion) 1997 (JV champion both in a Williams) championships.

Looking forward to such a championship again both were close finishes. 1996 Damon first Jacques second only a few point behind. 1997 Jacques first Schumi second only a few points behind.

Just for the record .....

There is no better team then Williams

No, there is no better snooker player than Williams!

Williams are a shadow of a team they used to be (while you love Villeneuve, I used to love Frentzen, his number two at Williams, until he moved to Jordan and to the downward spiral of being forgotten thereafter).

Anyway, I was glued to my screen for every race a few years back, particularly when Irvine nearly beat Hakkinen, when Schumacher was injured. But now, despite being interested and up-to-date, I rarely watch a race. It's becoming less and less about the driver and more about the team--take Montoya and Raikkonen's lack of success, for example. Now that it's obvious who will win, I hope Schumacher goes on to win every race left. That would be some record to beat!
