Ravens running back Jamal Lewis was indicted today on federal drug conspiracy charges. Lewis is accused of conspiring to distribute cocaine in the summer of 2000. He had the second-highest rushing total in NFL history last season.

Even though Jamal Lewis has never been put out like this in the public spotlight before, the news of his indictment did not surprise me. I just wonder why it took this long to book him for something. Since he was accused of trying to buy drugs for a friend, it looks like Jamal is in a real-life "Playmakers" situation.
