frown I was feeling pretty sad when Don Corleone died, I never felt this before for a character in a film. Am I the only one who felt so? The same thing happened to me when Fredo and, finally, Michael died.

It's only natural to feel a connection to characters if there played very well by the actors. In this case it's the Godfather, so great actors and acting. I can't remember how I felt seeing the deaths. They don't really affect me any more as i've seen the films countless times. But the death of Mary still is a very powerfull scene to me just because of the directors vision of the scene. The silent scream etc.

Don't people say the same for Bambi? I've never seen it but heard about people crying through it.

So die all who betray Giuliano

I felt bad when Mary died, but I think I felt bad because Michael lost a daughter, not because Mary was well acted. If anything, I was glad that Sofia Coppola was finally off of the screen and I didn't have to watch her anymore.

Except that by then, there's about 30 seconds left tothe film, so it doesn't make much of a difference...
