So what does everyone think of Carmelo Anthony & LeBron James both being left out of the All-Star game this year? Personally I think it sucks and they should be on their respective teams! The coaches who voted against them must not be watching ESPN every night where there is at least some Top 10 nominee of eiter Melo or Bron. What do you guys think?

They're probably a panel of coaches. Or maybe all of them, I'm not 100% sure

Lebron snubbed? Are you kidding me? He "doesn't want to play." He was selected. -Pat

A couple of days ago he said that he would not go to the Slam Dunk Competition, and he wasn't even invited yet! (LeBron)

Actually Bron Bron had planed on partcipating in the dunk contest, but due to his recent ankle injury, he withdrew his name from the competition.

So who do you guys think is the MVP of the league so far? My vote would go to either Jason Kidd (he should have won it 2 seasons ago, not Duncan) or Peja Stojakovic. What about you?

Well considering the league is all on LeBron's tip I thought he would be a shoo-in. I'm surprised he wasn't voted in as a starter. I'm glad Michael Redd made it. A little surprised Ray Allen made it in the West considering he missed half the season, but Kirilenko definetly deserved it. He's very underrated and maybe the best European import next to Stojakovic. Nowitzki doesn't play defense, where AK-47 is top 5 in steals and blocks for a small forward?!

MVP could be Baron Davis or Kevin Garnett. Davis has awesome numbers and KG is always a consistent 20-10-5 each game.

Umm...what about KG? I think he is easily the MVP of the league at this point in the year. He's averaging 24.6 ppg (4th), 14.0 rpg (1st), 5.2 apg, and 2.3 bpg (8th). His team is 1/2 a game behind Sacramento for the league's best record. KG was robbed of the MVP last year, and he should get it this year.

I'm surprised that LeBron wasn't voted in by the fans, but I think that the other players from the east that were selected as all-star reserves were worthy of being chosen. I don't think Anthony deserved to be an all-star this year. It will make the rookie game a lot more attractive, though.

KG is the MVP so far for all the reasons Don C. cited above.

LeBron should have made the East squad over Pierce. I'm not sure about Anthony.

I definately agree with you Don Corpuzzi, KG has a great case for being MVP as well. I haven't been able to follow his as much lately b/c I've seen Sacramento on the tube more as of late, and Peja has just been lights out. I'd like to see either KG or Peja win it this year. However I think it will mean more to KG if he & his team can make it out of the first round of the playoffs this year.

Although I agree with KG, I'm surprised no one has mention Baron Davis. The Hornets are a completely different team when he plays and he held down the fort until Mashburn came back from injury.

The Timberwolves WILL make it out of the first round this year. Write it down, stamp it, and mail it in.

Baron was one of the early favorites, but he has been overtaken by some other candidates since then.

I don't like Baron Davis, never really have. He's a very good point guard, but I don't think he's any Jason Kidd

Nobody said he should get the MVP as a makeup. But there shouldn't be a makeup, he should have won it 2 years ago. But this year I'd give it to either KG or Peja, so far anyway.

I was surprised to see Lebron was out of the all star too, I think he absolutely deserved to be in the East Conference team. maybe because he is on such a bad team, but his averages are impressive and amazing.

about the MVP of the season so far, I have no doubt KG should be the one

I'm pissed that Yao is starting over Shaq. Shaq is still clearly the best center in the league. But at the same time, Yao's a pretty funny guy and seems pretty good-natured.

I'm surprised that Yao is starting too over Shaq. I think Shaq deserves to start more than Yao. Screw Yao!

obviously Shaq should be the one to start, but the millions votes from China will put Yao in the starting lineup for the next years

That has nada to do with it, Yao is the better player, case closed.
