I was glancing at the newsstand and couldn't help but see SCARFACE on the cover of Oct's EGM, so HAD to buy it! OMG, this game looks like will be the reason for me to get a game console next year!

What do y'all think of the upcoming game?

they need to do this game PERFECT. Grand Theft Auto 3 is VERY CLOSE to Scarface based on songs and the whole idea behind it (It's not exact but it will be VERY EASY to call Scarface game a rip off of GTA3) And with GTA Vice City it is Scarface with the clothes/weapons/cars but not with the music. So if the game is not done perfectly they are going to say they simply "combined" GTA3 AND VICE CITY to get Scarface

Geoff, if you get a console you should definately get a playstation 2 or an xbox. I agree that game looks very awesome, and as you have probly read, the story is penned by the same guy who wrote american history x, and blow. Also this issue came with dvd which is a first.

Will PS3 be out by next year?

The day the ps3 comes out I will be one happy happy happy boy. They think that it will come out at the end of 2005 and the very beginning of 2006. (around christmas) The wait is just too long though. If you pop in that dvd it came with you can see a trailer for a ps3 game though..Dark Sector.

The ps2 is a bullshit platform it's really a new ps2 model so stop and think about so

You know something, my son has always said the same thing about GTA3 and GTA vice city. He is always telling me that I should check it out when he plays because he thinks that it is very similar to Scarface. I do hope that if they make Scarface and The Godfather games, they do it well and keep it close, if not exactly like the movies.

I think Vice City is much more similar to Scarface than GTA 3. Vice City has countless references, plus the entire story is practically modeled after Scarface. GTA 3 just has that radio station. Thats about it.

When are the Scarface & Godfather games coming out??

I'm going to buy whichever new console is more powerful and has better memory storage.

Right now, without looking, I'm leaning towards the X-Box 2, but we'll have to see, I'm not buying either of them on release day.

The Scarface game is probably going to be better than GTA: San Andreas (aka gang-banging homies) :p

Neither game has been labeled with a release date, but it has been commented that they'll probably both be rated M when they are released.


Xbox 2 is being hinted for release sometime around Winter 2005, which is reportedly several months if not a full year before ps3 will be finished. I doubt Nintendo has any immediate plans either.

I'm sure Xbox 2 will get the most attention for quite sometime...
