Hope you guys can help me out... A client of mine wants to know which are the best/most popular gaming web sites on the Net that he could advertise on. Obviously not just mafia-related, but of all sites. He wants to advertise headphones - how popular do you think these would be to online gamers?

Thanks

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I am guessing these are the headphones with the microphone attached? if they arent then dont listen to what I have to say

They are not that popular with your once and a while gamer they are more popular with your diehard gamer who has a thing called teamspeak....it allows people on the same game to talk without typing

if anyone has ever played an online roleplaying game you will die 100,000 times a day while trying to type help or type a message to a friend or teammate in the game so teamspeak just allows you to say it.

If he can get on a site that advertises teamspeak or just a gaming site with people who have it or know of it he stands a better chance.

IGN would ve very very expensive to advertise on seeing as almost every huge company does. Other less popular but still good sites are http://www.gamespy.com and http://www.gamers.com

Like Blake says, IGN would get you probably the most coverage, but it will be rather expensive. Snowball.com (the owner of IGN) went ad happy over the past few years and I think it might have actually hurt their # of visitors because of the numerous amount of ads (not popups, but redirecting and page clogging).

Gamespot is good, I go there often. Also try 1up.com, Gamers.com, and even try EBWorld.com or GameStop.com.

This is a somewhat un orthodox sight, but Newgrounds.com would be a great sight to advertise a game.
