Janice Soprano doesn't seem to be a very popular character with the fans. I can understand this because she's somewhat irritating, and seems to be very fickle when it comes to men and situations. On IMDb the fan attitude towards her seems to be very hostile, and unfortunately some of the fanboys can't seem to separate the character from the actress, Aida Turturro.

Does anyone here have any particularly strong feelings about Janice as a character?

I've only seen the first 2 seasons of The Sopranos (I just recently started the 3rd season)...but judging from Season 2...and what I've seen of Season 3...I gotta say...I don't like her. But I think thats the whole point.

Eventhough Tony, by definition, is the bad guy...you can't help but love him...and you can't help but hate those who go against him. Janice just seems to go out of her way to piss Tony off.

I don't like the character of Janice...but I do think Aida Turturro does a fantastic job playing the role.

If this is true, she has done a fine job of portraying Janis. I don't like Janis' character, but, as XDC said, that's the point.

So many unanswered questions about Janice Soprano. In the earlier segments of the Sopranos, Janice had a 17 year old son, I believe living in Seattle. What happened to him? And what happened to Janice after she shot Richie Aprile and they served him up at the Pork Store! Tony put her on the bus and then she came back!

Whatever. I was named after a shoe store in Manhattan. What do I know!
