Please guys, NO SPOILERS!! I haven't seen any of season 5 yet, but I'm curious as to how it's been received by die-hard Sops fans. Anybody who spoils gets clipped!

I loved Season Five. It was dark and sinister throughout, and Tony's behavior became worse and worse with each episode. There were a lot of new characters introduced, and they didn't disappoint.
The shocker at the end of the season (Tony killing Carmela) is one of the most incredible pieces of television you'll ever see.

Hiya F5A. Where the hell have you been man? Still busy with work?
Well, I'm only to episode five (which plays tonight on Ch4 in an hour and a bit!), and can honestly say that this season ranks as one of the best yet. The new characters are fantastic, the writing is more dark and sinister than ever, and the acting is as always a treat. Brilliantly funny, terrifically realistic and on the whole, this season just seems far more mature than the others. Can't wait for you to see it (why haven't you been watching it on Ch4 or E4?).

Hey capo! Just mega busy all the time now! I've been ill for a while, and spending a bit of time reading (Wiseguys, Band of Brothers and revisiting The Godfather Legacy etc). I've also been rewatching the previous seasons - I'm currently on Season one episode 6 "Pax Soprano". It's great watching the young faces and knowing what they're going to go through, especially Christopher, Meadow and AJ! I've missed the CH4 airing as I always forget to set the video and I dumped E4 ages ago. I'm glad to hear the humour has returned as I felt it started to lose that vital ingredient that made it such a complete package. Tell me ChrisY2K is joking?!

Sorry, FRANKIE, I couldn't resist! Yes, I am joking about Tony killing Carmela.
But I am not joking about how good Season Five was. There are a few really powerful episodes in this season.

I'm hoping for a Christmas release, but it took quite some time with season four...Pity they can't release them like they do with 24 over here, the day after the last episode airs!  F5A, you feeling better now? Hope all is well at your end. Mick
