As we've discussed in other topics, there a lot of "loose ends" that have yet to be tied up in the storylines of "The Sopranos".

Let's list them!

1. Valery the Russian's whereabouts are unknown
2. Furio; will he return?
3. Raymond Curto is wearing a wire.
4. Ralphie's death; will there be repercussions?
5. What happened between Hesh and Massive Genius?

I think that Vito's being gay will turn into a loose end. Also, I think that you could argue that the bear in the back yard is somewhat a loose end, although it did make an apperance last week.

Melfi's rape is a loose end since the perp was allowed to walk. I wonder if Tony will somehow find out through one of his various police sources.

Ralphies murder, Raymond wearing the wire and the Russian are probably the "most" essential to tie up I think.

Yet, for me anyway, although, not mandatory, I would love to see them follow up on Furio and see what happens when/if Tony finds out about Melfi's rape. And I do like the Carm/Tony separation/divorce storyline and would enjoy more conflict before a resolution to that as well.

Like I said earlier, maybe Chase is waiting for the final season and have one loose end after another get resolved. We'll see.

I don't think anyone will find out about Ralphie. I always wondered what happened to tony's Captain, Albert Barese. I don't think he shown up once this season.

Albert Barese is still around. We just haven't heard him talk this season, so far. During Tony B's "welcome back" party at the Bing (episode 2), Albert is present in the background, having a drink at the bar.

I thought the mess between Hesh and Massive Genius was already taken care of... ? Massive G threatened to sue for those back royalties for that one artist, Hesh said someone on Massive G's label used an unauthorized sample from a song on his (Hesh's) label, bla, bla, bla... it seemed to me that Massive G was resigned to just letting it all go because of that.

No, it wasn't settled. Massive Genius wasn't resigned at all. His last statement to Hesh before he hung up the phone was, "I'll see you in court." Massive Genius definitely was not conceding defeat.
We never saw how their legal battle, if it happened, was resolved.

I know this isn't a loose end but one thing thats bugged me for the past two days;
In the episdode 'Provashia, Livia' E2 S3. At Livia's wake Tony walks towards Paulie and Furio and opens a cupboard door with a mirror on it, in the mirror you can clearly see Big Pussy, no doubt about it its Puss. A little strange no?? And right after, Tony pauses and looks completey shocked at something (this could also be his reaction to Furio's choice of conversation at his mothers wake). Anyone else noticed this???

At this point they should cancel the show and do us all a favor.

Wow!! Paul, you're that disappointed in it?? Although I agree there are loose ends, I sure am not to the point where I want them to cancel it.

Ya know, why are loose ends a bad thing? It adds suspense. Ya never know when Chase might drop the bomb and tie some of these things up. Like Furio popping out of nowhere maybe and taking a shot at Tony. Or the Russian guy taking out Paulie or something. Granted it can be a little frusterating, but to with the show to be canceled is way too extreme.
