Hi All-

I am brand new to the Sopranos and just finished vol 1 of season 1 (episodes 1 thru 3) from the library. I can't seem to remember why Tony Soprano burned down his buddy's restaurant. I know it was to benefit him, but i don't remember what the motivation was. Help please!

thanks in advance -

Brian mc

There was going to be a "hit" at the restaurant, and Tony couldn't stop it. Knowing that it would ruin Artie's business, Tony thought it would be better to burn the place down before it happened, and let Artie collect the insurance money.
