Tony is not divorced. The last season ended when Carm and Tony split up. Also, I don't remember Tony quitting Dr. Melfi???? I know he threatened a couple times not to go back, but always did. I don't think he "quit" her. I do agree that there is some sexual tension between the two tho. TIS

Seems to me there were a couple times Tony said he was done with her. If that were true, than Melfi would most likely be written out of the script. I just don't think that will happen. Then again, the show is full of surprises sometimes. TIS

Yeah, I've heard similar things. The actor Robert Loggia plays an aged former DiMeo/Soprano Family capo who comes out of prison and takes over his old crew. Which crew was his, I wonder? I don't think Junior's or Tony's crew ever belonged to him, so it was to be one of the Curto, Barese, Aprile, or Altieri crews.
Now, this DOES sound a lot like Richie Aprile: a guy gets out of prison and becomes a thorn in Tony's side. But I think it'll be different. Richie was a total psychopath, but wasn't the brightest bulb, either. No one respected him enough to go with his proposed coup of the Family. Thus, he was never a REAL threat to Tony's power.
Loggia's character, on the other hand, MIGHT be a legitimate threat. He's old, so he therefore is more experienced, wiser, and cagier than Tony. He won't go for the overt threats to "whack" Tony, like Richie did. This old capo will be more subtle than that.
As for Furio, I bet he turns up again, only this time he'll be working for someone else. He sure won't be working for Tony, who wants him dead. Might he end up working for his old Family in Naples again (the one that the lady boss Annalisa runs)? Maybe he'll end up working for Carmine Lupertazzi and John "Johnny Sack" Sacrimoni in their Brooklyn-based Family. But don't forget, Johnny and especially Carmine are REAL old school; for the perceived transgressions Furio has had with Tony's wife, maybe Furio won't be welcome in Carmine's Family, either. But if Furio's presence somehow means more money for them, I can see Carmine and Johnny siding against Tony. So... exactly WHERE will Furio turn up?
Yes, I heard that Paulie and Christopher's "friendship" REALLY reaches a boiling point. Will it be to the point that they finally are exchanging blows and/or gunfire? We'll see.
And Steve Buscemi's character, that's a Wild Card NO ONE can predict. His character ought to be memorable, to say the least.
As for Carmela dying of natural causes, where did you hear that one? If it happens... WOW.

Originally posted by The Scottish Don: Carmine, not Carmella....... OK, that makes a LOT more sense! I misread the other guy's post. I thought, "What? Carmela dies of natural causes? HOW?" I can see Carmine dying of natural causes, Johnny taking over, and things going sour between North Jersey and New York. Johnny wasn't too happy with Tony at the end of Season Four.

CAPO SEZ: "Chris, you forget that Furio does not know Tony knows about him and Carmela (Carmela told TOny after Furio left), and thus could return with the excuse that he had things to deal with his family back home."
A GOOD point, CAPO. A very good point indeed. As Season Four ended, Furio doesn't know that Carmela spilled the beans to Tony.
I don't think this clip we saw was from Episode 1 of Season 5. I think it was a bit later in the season. Tony's words imply that Furio IS back, and is being sought by Tony. "The right people see him, he's a dead man!"
I think it's possible that Carmela contacted Furio in some way and let him know Tony is after him.

I'm not a big Sopranos viewer I have only watched season 4 so take it easy if I offend some of you and leave some stuff out. I feel as though the F.B.I. who has all that information through Christophers g/f there who puked on the desk. I think that Tony might come to a cross roads here with everything on the line and him maybe having to kill Chris and his g/f? I'm not sure though like i said i missed the first 3 seasons so i have limited knowledge

CANNOLIS: Before Season Four came out, I was thinking that something like that (Tony having to kill Christopher because he turned into a cooperating witness due to Adriana) would have happened, but it didn't.
But who knows, it may happen yet. There are a lot of possibilities for Season Five.
