The cheapest price I've found online for the DVD collection is $59.36 ($62.31 with s&h) off of Direct Video . Can anyone tell me if this site is reliable, if I give them my money they'll send me a quality product? the time issue doesn't matter to me since I'm still in the process of getting a working DVD player.

I'm pretty sure I actually ordered something from DirectVideo once -- they had the cheapest price on the Baseball series (Ken Burns). I got the item, so I guess they're on the up-and-up; only thing is shipping from Canada, but since time isn't important, I'd so go for it -- that's a good price!

walmart is not exactly within walking distance...or bus distance for that matter. And I can't exactly drive. 'sides, Amazon's got it for $74.94, plus s&h, and I think I have a coupon for them. so it winds up the same...

I want to visit Philadelphia. I heard it's a nice city, and the Bruno family is pretty much a mess of informants and broken rackets so there's no problem with 'hidden taxes' like in NYC, where the five borgattas are still zenith. Tell me more about PA, it's a nice state I hear. I had a young friend who lived in a small town called Danielsville, but it's pretty obscure, no one can locate it.

Philly's a nice place. I got Family there. PA's an awesome state. We're a swing one so politicians take notice. But we aren't so major that we get the kind of population crush NY's got. Philly's the largest city, Pittsburgh is 2nd or 3rd, depends on who you talk to. I have yet to visit Harrisburg, but my little sis went there with school and she says it's a great place. Erie, PA, is awesome and they have a Friendly's, a highlight of any visit there. And to the history buff, there's Gettysburg, the only downside of which is the tourguides inssiting on calling it 'Gettisberg'. smile There's so much to do there.

As for living, Allegheny county where I live has 7% tax. Everywhere else it's 6%. Local politics is very boring.

I went down to Penn State once. From what I saw of it, it's a nice campus. But I took no classes there, was only there for a science competition hosted there.

I've never heard of Danielsville, and of course, I can't comment on the mafia, or lack of it, in Philly. nor in Pittsburgh for that matter. (although a frined of mine once boasted to me that her family use to be mafia when we were talking about the Godfather...)

With that price, I'm actually thinking about buying it.

Does anyone know if prices of DVDs drop after the release or increase?

while I'm not exactly sure where the 'Maryland Line' is, I'm a few hours from Cleveland, Ohio. The only culinary school I know about is located in Downtown Pittsburgh on the 67H bus route. It's near Heinz Hall and the Girl Scout office.

Liz and others...

There are a couple of websites that give coupons and promo codes for shopping online (and some brick and mortar). There are almost always a few different Amazon promotions going on at any given time. We used one of the codes to pre order our GF DVDs.

Anyway try this for savings code from Amazon:

If you take that $69.99 price that Best Buy and Target have to Wal-Mart, they'll beat that price by selling it to you 5% less than $69.99. It's a Wal-Mart policy. Always low prices . . . Always. grin If you're poor like me, this kind of stuff really matters. smile
