Please excuse my utter stupidity but I have a rather dumb question. I just recently had the privilege of watching season 1 through 3 which I borrowed from a friend. Thank God I have HBO now so I can watch when the new season comes on. Question is, what season is The Sp's on now? Is it the 5th? or 6th? And also,IF the next season is the 5th , will they rerun the show till the end of the 4th season? If anyone knows this, I'd really appreciate if youse guys could help a lady out. Grazie.

Well PP, 4th season ended in December and yes a 5th and 6th are in the works as we speak. 5th is slated for March of 2004. And yes, HBO is rerunning all episodes now.

oooohhhhh..so there WAS a 4th season, but the NEW one which will start in 2004 is the 5TH season. And you say there's a SIXTH season as well? how do you know this, dear Godfather?

I wasn't aware of a 6th season. I thought they agreed to a 5th only??????

Oh, and next Sunday they are playing 3 episodes back to back (repeats), at least here in California they are. I assume it's the same everywhere.

Reports on The-Sopranos.com. I hear that David Chase (the show's producer) can't finish the 5th's story lines in 13 episodes, so thats why the 6th is going to happen. I hear it's going to be about 10 eps long though. No scheduled release date for that though.
