Where were the above three? I can't recall any of them...

Yeah, those labels are weird.

The "shower" one is Carlo in the shower during the Carlo/Connie fight scene.

I can't place the other two yet... I'll try to think of them...

Grazie Don Malta for this late-breaking bulletin. As we can all see, some of the deleted scenes have been deleted. frown frown frown

Hey thats excellent JG and also the years are included which will help bring closure to some subjects......Woooooo Hoooooo.

With me never seeing any absolutely any deleted scenes, because i've only ever seen the original versions of the trilogy, I am very much eagerly awaiting the release of the DVD collection.

Octobers gonna be a busy month for me. grin

Hmmm... upon further examination it appears that this list of scenes is comprehensive. All of my favorites are there. As you have mentioned before, at issue is the transitional footage, ends and beginnings of scenes (i.e. Luca walking down the hallways etc.) And also in a previous post, noledge listed some of the UK Epic scenes which included young Santino riding his tricycle. I cannot recall having seen that one ever. Can someone refresh my memory?

Also if I am correct, 1917 Clemenza: I'm my own boss is when he and young Vito are sipping cappucino, then they talk about the rug. And 1945 A Family Fight I believe is when Connie runs in to The Don's study crying and hot-head Sonny biting his fist wants to go after Carlo. The Don says not to interfere. His wife never gave him a reason.

This scene occurs before Vito meets with Mrs. Columbo. Vito comes in, embraces his wife and sits down. Santino then rides along the floor on a tricycle and Vito says "oh, Santinoooooooo"...

This is what I'm been waiting for all these years. You know there isn't much left that would please me so...except maybe a young women with long hair and large...ummmm (dreaming) except my wife is more likely to bring home the DVD collection in the next few weeks....DVD collection and sweet dreams, what else could a man want in life. Grazie J Geoff. I very much look forward to seeing those deleted scenes...especially the one where Fabrizzio is killed here in the states. I read about that scene on your website about 3 years ago...and can't wait to actually see it.
I think I may just borrow my mom and dad's dvd player for a bit and get the set next week. I hope I still qualify as a padrinophile...even if I get the DVD set a week late.

Heres where they could have made a very fine
set into a great one. They could have given
us the saga footage in some kind of branching
thing. While it might have been tricky,it apears the reason was, they didn't spend a thing to fix these great scenes up.Or
to letterboxed them.Just compare the footage
of Woltz meeting tom from the first film
to the saga footage of him and the little girls pony.
Not only are the trims lost from the saga
but two scenes are missing(Back stadge at the theatre, and the scene of the undertaker talking to his wife,)
They gave us the end credits of the saga,
but not the opening credits.
I have to say they did a fine job designing
the extra disc, and even though the still
file is way to short, its well done.

Welcome neski and grazie for your insightful report. I think we are just going to have to go outside the family to get to ALL of the lost footage. And where is Michael in the white fedora with the lupara?

Michael's murder of Fabritzio with a shotgun is a deleted scene I'm dying to see!

After I watch all the movies when I get the DVD set, that's the first deleted scene I will call up. I'm interested in seeing the scenes with Fanucci running from the young punks and more scenes with young Vito again.
I saw those for the first time on AMC, and absolutely loved them.

Is "1945 Michael Gets Involved" where Mike tells the Don, "you gave your word, I didn't give mine."?

Hey Geoff:

I thought the most awesome scene not included in the movie was Genco dying, and asking the Godfather to stay close, because if Death saw him, it would get scared and go away. That was unbelievable. How could this wonderful scene not make it into the movie?

I found it curious that a couple of bits from "The Godfather Saga" were not among the Deleted Scenes on the DVD set.

* After conducting business in his office (on the day of Connie's wedding), Vito turns to see Sonny peering out of the blinds. He whistles and asks his son, "Were you paying attention?"

* After Michael assumes the role of Don (soon after saying "You're out, Tom."), he tells Al Neri, "I want to be alone with my father." Moments later Vito points out, "I think you have found your Luca Brasi."
"I'm gonna need him," Michael replies.

My only guess is that maybe they thought these clips were too short to bother... although they should've included them anyway!
