i was reading a film biography of all the films tony sirico has been in, ya know paulie walnuts from sopranos. and it said he was in the godfather. i was wondrering which character he played? is it paulie gatto?

Some years ago (on the old message boards) I was doing some research on "The Sopranos" and I saw on HBO's site a note that Sirico was in "The Godfather". I emailed HBO arguing that the claim was probably false and, lo and behold, the next day that note was deleted.
Sirico MAY have been an "extra" in some crowd scene, but I doubt he had any larger role than that.
