I was just in Target (where I picked up a copy of Scarface) and was browsing the video section when I heard the familiar tune. So I run over to the TVs and watch open-mouthed at the commercial for the DVD collection. Very cool. Is there anyplace online I can find that commercial?

sure. It was black with the godfather thee and then you hear Michael VO to Freod and then see his face: "Fredo, you're my older brtoher and I love you but don't ever take sides with anyone against the fmialy again." Then some commentary onwhat the DVD is, then Vito/Carmella dance, Michael/Apollonia dance. Um...scene with Rocco kissing Mihcael's hand. all I remember.

I can't wait to see it either.

I can either buy The Simpsons DVD and Star Wars: TPM DVD for $60 total or The Godfather Trilogy DVD for $75, but not both. I can convince my parents to buy The Godfather Trilogy (since they're fans), but they don't have a DVD player.

Get the Godfather. TPM isn't that great, it's not worth it. Trust me. You can always rent a DVD player.

Moi aussi, ma belle Liz Skywalker.

Commercial sounds cool.

You're Liz from the JC, right?

I know TPM is pretty bad, but its Star Wars and I'm probably more of a Simpsons fan than a Godfather fan. Its a tough choice and I don't want to spend too much money on DVDs. I already spent too much on DVD-ROM and other PC upgrades and my $400 worth of books (damn those bookstores, publishers and profs who change editions every year or so).

Renting one is very expensive also.

was wondering if I would recognize your name since you recognized mine. I seem to recall a Darth Mal from the JCC. Were you in the Gauntlet?

No. I basically posted in that Golden Age thread in the last few months.
