I'm not really commenting or something... just wanted to say this..

Next monday, a Dutch network is broadcasting the first-ever episode of The Soprano's. So far, that show has been unsuccesfully broadcasted over here once, but the series get's a second chance.

So, I have never seen a single second of the show, and already I can't wait. Mainly because of this message board (which also resulted in my growing interest in all Godfather-related topics) I have been interested in that show more and more and I will definitely see it monday-night, hoping they will go on broadcasting it till the end (by that, I mean the fifth season. Btw what is known/true about a Soprano's movie to end the tv-series?).

Just wanted to say this.... I think I will post my thoughts about it on tuesday

Pherdy,

Let us know what you think? I saw it for the first time last year. After the first episode I was hooked. Just don't expect a duplicate of the Godfather. Although it's revolved around a "crime family", it's totally different from the typical gangster flicks. I think you will really enjoy it.

I don't know anyone who has given this show a chance and didn't like it. Enjoy!

well, you're all right, I did like it.

and yes, I expected a little bit more of the usual stuff, the usual gangster stuff even more Godfather... never thought it would be so cynical, a satire... thought it was a hard action series.

not saying there was no action at all, but I liked this new way of perspective.

I really enjoyed Gandolfini talking about his ducks...

btw, no less than three Godfather references in the pilot!!! I guess David Chase did somehow think of Coppola's masterpiece when writing it:)
