Does the "release date" mean that Amazon will ship in on that date? Or would it be better/easier/faster just to go down to Blockbuster or somewhere and buy it on that day?

And fess up...how long do you think you will spend in seated in front of your television after you receive it? Eight hours? Ten hours? Twelve hours? More?

Hopefully the DVD set comes on the 9th. I pre-ordered Omerta from Amazon and received it on the day of my daughters wedding... no, on the day it was officially released. Maybe they can ship it for delivery on the 9th.
Peace.

question: what's the cheapest place to get it online? I'm kind of hard on money right now, so any bucks I can save is great.

thanks M4M. If you hadn't told me that, I would never have known. I mean, it's so origional, I would never have thought of it by myself. However did you come up with such an origional notion?

Got the collection today. From what i have seen so far it is one of the best DVD productions i have ever seen.

A fun thing was the Sopranos clip found under DVD Credits.

And i have still not tried the first 4 discs...This weekend looks like being spent completely indoors.

I ordered it here in Europe via an online shop. Probably due to the fact that the distribution has to start a couple of weeks in advance to ensure full stocks on release date this is possible.
Note that this is probably the only advantage, from a DVD perspective, living in a non Region 1 country.

The only way I'm willing to get the Godfather DVD (legally, that is) right now is if Columbia House offers it. I know I'll get rip-off in the future by them, but it'll probably be worth it.

This doesn't make much sense to me. Why wait to get ripped off by Columbia House when you can get it for probably $25 less anywhere else??
