I live in Holland, and over here The Soprano's is never been fully broadcaster (I heard something about a network starting in February over here).

So I have never seen it.

On a mafia-related site, I saw a banner that said something like "fuggedaboutit" and the Soprano's logo.

Now I know 'fogget bout it' is some kind of wiseguy slang, but I want to know where it's really from. The only 'fogget bout it' from a movie I saw was from Donnie Brasco.

Can anyone clarify where this phrase came from?

It's basically just the way that a lot of people from the New York/New Jersey region say "Forget About It."

As Don mentioned, basically some people here in Jersey turned "forget about it" into one word.
