...been able to turn one of your friends into a bonafide Godfather freak like yourself? After I watched the movies for the first time back in 1997, I got the VHS collection that May and instantly tried to turn my friends onto the movies, all of whom had never seen any of them before.

They were slow to watch them, and I actually made one of my friends finish Part III while I was at his house, but I don't think any of them really "got it" the way I did... the acting, the storytelling, the direction, the cinematography, the editing, the backstories, the novel, everything you can dive into in this trilogy. They remained on the surface while I was scuba diving the Godfather ocean.

A few of them quote the movies every now and then and talk about them, mostly the first one, but overall I think they just like the movies and don't love them the way I do.

Are they crazy? Or am I wrong to think that they should appreciate the movie as I do? I can honestly say that these movies are the best movies ever made (especially I & II) and we'll never see a movie or trilogy as flawless and rich as this ever again.

i don't know about as ric, but the Back to the Future trilogy is flawless. We had a two session on those movies and we found they answered every question and thought of everything to make it flawless...

No, your not crazy, just a fantatic like the rest of us here! wink

But keep in mind, that it took time for people like us to become fanatics. It took many viewings to come to certain realizations about the greatness of these movies! Let's face it, 1000 viewings later and we still debate certain issues and pick up different points each time we watch them! So be patient with your friends, maybe after watching GF several times, they will come to realize just how great the GF movies really are! wink

Don Cardi cool

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.

In fact I have been able to turn someone into a GF fan. I made him an offer he couldn't refuse!!
