Hello,

I am pretty new to the board and wanted to just share with you guys a brief backround about my Italian family.

My great great grandfather was La Cosa Nostra in Scicily. He was very wealthy and happend to get a job in the government with a high political status and was supporting his family in La Cosa Nostra. The anti-mafia syndicates that worked with the state figured out Giuseppe Insalaco was a well known Italian Mobster and hired two of his own very trusted hitmen to assasinate him. His son then immigrated to the U.S, chicago area and continued the 'gangster' lifestyle, unitl my father was born under the last full italian in the family.

If you look up Giuseppe Insalaco, you find alot of articles about him...mostly in native tounge(italian) and below is a picture of my grandfather when he was in office.

Thanks for reading, just wanted to tell you how pretty much I springed my interest in Mob films and the mafia.

Mikelle

He was more of right hand of some combined families, he ran the southern scicly strand for awhile.

Oh and haha keep in mind people I am not proud of the fact my more distant family was deeply involved in crime, but then, the mafia was more of a labor union in the early years.
