What is the name of the mafia from Calabria?
Like Cosa Nostra is the mafia of Sicily and the Camorra is from Napoli.

Q. What was Joe Columbo's "legitimate" job at the time of his shooting in 1971?

He was the head of the Colombo yougurt company. :p Every time I see thouse commercials I think of the Colombos.Actually, he was head of the Italian American Civil Rights Union or something like that.
Why did Frank Costello walk out of the Kefauver hearings?

Colombo was a salesman for the Cantalupo Realty Co. in Brooklyn.

Q. A small time Brooklyn hood named Frank Gallucio gained a certain immortality in mob folklore by doing what?

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty he was the guy who Scarred Scarface. If so, my question from above still stands.SC- Thanks, my mind was elsewhere

Yes, Galuccio was the guy who scarred Scarface .
Costello walked out of the Kefauver Committee meeting because he'd been humiliated (when asked what he did for his country, he replied, "I pay my tax" and everyone laughed). He then decided he wasn't going to answer any more questions--landing him in jail for contempt of Congress.
Q. After the hearings concluded, who did Kefauver say was the biggest gambling gangster in America?

Sorry for letting this thread dawdle, Juventus.
The guy whom Keefauver identified as the biggest gambling gangster in America in 1951 was Abner (Longy) Zwillman of Newark, NJ, a former Prohibition era rumrunner and then gambling kingpin with a vast "legitimate" empire to cover his criminal activities.
New Q: We all know that Tony Soprano of "Sopranos" sees a psychiatrist. Which real-life Mafia Don saw a psychiatrist?

By the way, Turnbull and Juve, you guys' knowledge is amazing and very fun to read.
If my Dragna was right, here's my question:

Welcome, Letizia, and thanks for the kudo .
Cafe Biondo was owned by Joe (Butch) Corrao, a capo in the Gambino family.
Continuing in the vein of Mob-owned Little Italy eateries:

Colombo's father and a female freind were stragnled to death and left in the back of their car.

Anothy Colombo was fooling around with someone he was not supposed to be and thus was killed.

Turnbull, I thought the answer on my question was Calogero Vizzini, and not Genco Russo. But now I don't know, cause for a guy with your knowledge.....
But maybe your right, Maybe Genco Russo took over after Calogero Vizzini. I don't know much about Genco Russo..

The singer was Frank Sinatra, the bandleader was Tommy Dorsey and the guy who made him the offer was Willie Moretti.
Q. Speaking of singers: At what Mob boss's son's wedding did Tony Bennett sing?

Goodfella, it was Joe Bonanno's son, Bill's wedding that Tony B sang.

Your question is who was killed in a barbershop.

A. Albert Anastasia.

Q. This mob boss had some digits missing from one of his hands from an accident in a factory when he was young. He even had a nickname based on this.

Your turn to ask a question, Juventus.
(BTW: Tony Bennett sang at Bill Bonanno's wedding. BUT: A couple of years before he died, Gambino attended a wedding, and the bandleader played "The Godfather Waltz" when Don Carlo got up to dance with his wife. Lotsa coglione.)
