Are there really any women in the Mafia? I hate to say that i think it is a male run kind of thing :rolleyes: . Would anyone really show respect to a woman in organized crime? I mean could there really be a female Don? I think if a woman was trying to seriously be in the mafia, she'd get laughed at!!!!! What do you all think?

Women in the Mafia - yes, I wouldn't put it past a few criminals to use their missus in a few things. But by what the public knows by the proper government authorities, there is no knowledge of any "made" female members inducted into the American Mafia.

Goodfellaoggies link was a good link into the Camorra of Southern Italy. Mostly Naples. They have a local version of the Mafia there and what news has told us is that women have been highly valued there. Being involved in actual hits and i've heard of some women being involved in the administration of Families. Sometimes even controlling the organisation themselves.

You know what, i bet organized crime is held up by women!!!! if you think about it. that would be smart because when a guy gets pissed and his ego is deflaited a little, he isn't alway smart or rational. a woman can keep a cool head.
