Thanks, but no thanks, Almammater. It's "Elvis Week" here in Memphis, and I've already had more than I can stomach. All the mixed nuts are here and still arriving. Even Lisa Marie and new hubby Nicholas Cage are due in this weekend for some big bash happening at the Pyramid. Sorry, Elvis fans, but even as a lifelong Memphian, I have yet to see what the big deal is. But, hey: different strokes for different folks!

I mean, there's nothing wrong with celebrating the guy's music & career...but I think Elvis is the only star EVER to get tribute weeks during the anniversaries of both his birth (in January) AND his death (in August). yea, Sanke...But If I lived there I would be dam glad for all the money $$$ those folks are going to spend in that town! Think of how many people stop there each year just to see that house, grave ect. That money is spent and the people in the town spend it to make their living, and around and around it goes.... For twenty five years you got to be saying "THANK-YOU" for keeping the thing popular and the money pouring into the city! That is a long running show for a sweating over weight dead man in a white jump suit. and Martin Luther King said " I have a Dream" Well, I would rather "have a scheme like the King" A-Men and thank you very much...Elvis has left the building, but not the City!
"Well, old friend, are you ready to do me this service?"
