Why would Ligambi pick a #2 who wasn’t fully respected on the streets? Staino was allegedly referred to as “the bartenderâ€.
They make it sound as if Staino fell of the sky and wasn’t mobbed prior to his exclusive association with Ligambi starting in the early 2000’s. He must have got his button somewhen. You just don’t move in as a #2, with no prior mob cred, just because you are a good earner.
