Watched Wes Craven's New Nightmare, which was, at the time, a quite interesting and brave spin on the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Coming out in 1994, it predated Scream by two years, so it was probably the first meta horror movie.

The scene where the guy gets killed by the glove coming up through the car seat, which he mistakes for an itchy ball sack, while driving home is something I remembered vividly ever since watching it as a child.
