I just watched I, Robot the other day. The last scene is Sonny standing on top of a hill looking down on thousands of robots who stop and look up at him. That would seem to lay the basis for a sequel.

Also, I wonder why there was never a sequel to Close Encounters. I'd entitle it The Return.
