The Narcotics Racket

The narcotics trade is the most profitable underworld business in the world...it is also the most deadly and dangerous!

And although many have dabbled in the racket through the years, few have done it as well as the Italian Mafia.

Thank you very much Hollander. I'm glad you really enjoyed it.

It is such a far-flung enterprise (worldwide no less), that it was somewhat difficult to decide who to mention and highlight in the story. Because from Lucky Luciano on down to many well known soldiers who were involved in the trade, both here and abroad, that I wasn't sure where to draw the line.

It became more about explaining the "system" rather than focus on any one crew or mafioso's activities.

I hope I did the subject justice because, now and then, it is a primary racket indulged in the world over.
