Arnhem fears that armed groups will kick off with each other around kickboxing gala Glory Collision 2 with lead actor Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari. Three years ago in Oberhausen, massive fighting broke out around the fight between Verhoeven and Hari.

Numerous security measures must ensure that the city remains calm. Because the experience is that the audience consists of criminals, football hooligans and members of motorcycle clubs, Mayor Ahmed Marcouch has decided to search people preventively during the kickboxing event.

Preventive search
In consultation with the police and public prosecutor, Marcouch has decided to identify risk areas. During the event, the police may preventively search the public in three areas: around GelreDome, in the center of Arnhem and in the station area. The period of this may starts on Saturday afternoon at 12.00 and ends on Sunday morning at 05.00.

Criminals
Marcouch has introduced the safety measure because experience shows that during kickboxing events there is a risk that groups will seek confrontation with each other. In addition, the police have information that various groups with weapons want to visit the kickboxing event on Saturday.
