Looks good. A lot of decent actors. David Arquette was always underrated imo. Most of his roles are played for laughs but I think he could play the curious cop who stumbles upon this madness. Robert Davi as Genovese. Surprised he didn't have more mob roles in his career. Is that Meadow Soprano in there? Looks from the trailer like they kept things simple, told a good story and let the actors use their talent. Look forward to it.
"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea
This is the 2nd time Robert Davi has played Vito Genovese in his career and he looks very good for the role.
The movie as a whole? Meh. It looks entertaining, just not anything we’d consider a classic 10 years from now. Apalachin deserves more attention on the screen though so I’m glad someone is taking it on.
