This looks like pathetic womens' lib garbage. They're going to hang on to the miniscule footnote about how Edna Coonan collected for her husband for a short period of time and turn it into "Three Confident Women take over the entire LCN in New York". Garbage.

The movie wasn't good (and I like both Melissa McCarthy and Elisabeth Moss). Story was clunky and didn't flesh out the characters enough.

Absurd premise. Like the Westies weren't still loaded to the gills in 1978. Not to mention that this was right around the time that Ruby Stein was murdered and Castellano's investigation led to the unlikely alliance between the Gambinos and the Hell's Kitchen Irish. It's just a movie. But no amount of directorial license changes the fact that DeMeo would have killed every one of those broads without conscience.
