Lazio ultra chief murdered in Rome
Investigators suspect organized crime gang behind the hit

(ANSA) - Rome, August 8 - Rome prosecutors have opened a probe into homicide, with mafia methods an aggravating factor, in relation to the murder on Wednesday of Fabrizio Piscitelli, a leading member of an 'ultra' group of hardcore fans of Serie A side Lazio, sources said on Thursday. Piscitelli, who was nicknamed Diabolik, was killed in what appears to have been a profession hit with a shot to the back of his neck.
The killer may have been waiting on a bench in the park and Piscitelli may have been drawn into a trap.
Investigators are not ruling out any hypotheses but they are primarily focused on looking into the possibility that an organized-crime clan was behind the murder and not necessarily an Italian one. The 53-year-old had a criminal record for drugs trafficking and the finance police seized two million euros in assets from him in 2016. He was one of the heads of the far-right Irriducibili group, which has been behind many acts of racism and antisemitism that have tarnished the name of the Rome club in recent years.
"Piscitelli had lots of enemies and lots of business with various criminal groups," investigative sources said.
"He was a central figure with links to various criminal environments, including Albanian ones".

The murder was committed in a neighbourhood controlled by the Camorra boss Michele Senese.

There is no way Albanians are behind this.

yeah, the modality of the murder has camorra all written. to kill piscitelli in that area would mean to challenge michele senese in rome, who is among the most powerful boss, if the camorra is not involved, is the sicilian mafia, the ndrangheta or carminati group

The suspect of the investigators is that whoever physically killed him is only a hit man and that the principal (or principals) has a "high caliber" criminal: someone to whom Diabolik may have "stamped his feet" in the division of the territory, someone who he was not afraid to kill an icon of the Lazio cheer, putting himself against a large chunk of Rome. Someone who was not afraid to shoot in the light of day, in a public place, perhaps to give a "signal" to all those who gravitated around Piscitelli, considered by many as a charismatic leader (not only among those who frequent the northern curve ).
"He had drug debs. Since seized him all the assets in 2016, including the villa where he lived, he never got up again ". To say this is Vincenzo, a former ultra of Lazio, and a great friend of Diabolik.

Yesterday something happened regarding the murder of Lazio Irriducibili leader Fabrizio Piscitelli. Fabio Gaudenzi, who is in the fascist group of Piscitelli released a video on youtube.

Video Fabio Gaudenzi "Rommel"

What we hear in the newspaper is that the district in which happend the killing is historically in the hand of the camorra, the so called "Napoletani della Tuscolana". Lots of them have been arrested in the last few years. Some people say there are new groups who want to take over this place for drug selling and "pizzo". Other voices say that Piscitelli did ascend big time in the underworld of Roma in the last four years and probably he did disrespect a big fish or something went wrong with a drug payment. But who knows....if someone wants to muscle here, I can see only the Calabrians doing something like this.
The guy in the video is Fabio Gaudenzi "Rommel", right hand man of Massimo Carminati (Boss of the bosses in Rome) who is currently in jail. He inspires himself to Erwin Rommel, known as the Desert Fox, the field marshal in the Wehrmacht of Nazi Germany. He says in the video that the "infami" have three month time to leave rome and than they will go after them and their families.

One last thing, everywere in the Italian newspaper you can read that Fabio Gaudenzi did this video and got arrested to save his life.....because he would have been the next.

The list of enemies of Fabrizio Fabietti and Fabrizio 'Diabolik' Piscitelli was long. It is mainly composed of fearsome characters. However, the duo Fabietti-Diabolik had also become dangerous. With the first one who had the real role of director of the band, able to keep up with the Sicilian mobsters. Their enemies include Fragalà, Fittirillo, Esposito, Vallante and Anxhelos. Actually, we read Cosa Nostra, Banda della Magliana, the Ostia clans, the owners of the market squares in Tor Bella Monaca and an ambitious Greek drug dealer.

If so respect or challenge?

^ no I reckon is a reference to the Italian comic book character “Diabolik”, some sort of an Italian Lupin.

I don’t get how the Irriducibili can be racist towards other players but they got Caicedo and others in their squad lol.

That’s terrible, I’m an Interista but I’ve seen our Ultras do the same to Balotelli & Koulibaly and we also got a few black players in our squad

The book Football, Fascism and Fandom by Alberto Testa and Gary Armstrong provides crucial insight. It explores the relationship between fascism and football support in Rome, following two ultras groups, the Irriducibili of SS Lazio and the Boys of AS Roma. Formed in 1972, the Boys were originally on the periphery due to their neo-fascist ideology. However as the CUCS’s influence dwindled, the Boys rose to prominence along with like-minded groups such as Opposta Fazione (Opposite Faction).

As Testa and Armstrong state: “From the late 1980s … political ideology became more evident among the hardcore AS Roma supporters, an important step in the emergence of the first true ultras.” The academics differentiate the Boys Roma and other groups such as Irriducibili and Internazionale’s Boys-San because their right-wing political ideology is at the nexus of their existence. “Right from the start, [Boys Roma] displayed a neo-fascist ideology in the language, actions and methods of support for their team.” This identity manifests inside and out the stadium and thus the authors coined the term “UltraS”.
