A man called Rob Cuccurullo, from carnarsie. He's the brother of the Duran Duran guitarist. He had FB group for his book " By way of carnarsie" a memoir but was still looking for a publisher and it generated a lot of interests from past and present carnarsiens. One of the chapters was about organised crime. His words " of all the crime figures to come out of Carnarsie, there is noone more notorious than the Twins. Then a war of words erupted with family members of the Twins on the FB thread when he announced that chapter which they were both to feature in. Patti Testa's son was very vocal, " because of the choices my Dad & uncle made, unfortunately I never new them but what we don't need is some cheap hack getting his information from wiki and making a cheap Buck out of the family name. Any serious journalist would of approached the family personally. Family members were accusing the author of plagiarism and stealing from murder machine etc but he said , he grew up with them and knew them on a personal level and writing about them was his own personal experiences. The author said he got heavily into drugs and was on the move with Lucchese associates so that chapter of his life sounds interesting. The author was getting a lot of flack off the Twins family. The FB page was taken down which was a shame because there was hundreds of posts/,stories about them from there closest child hood friends, people who grew up with them,neighbours,people who worked for them or were aware of them. Lot of people posting about Patti Testa and when he was killed. Some very interesting posts about them. I stored a few in the gangster bb data base. The book is now getting released in June by Amazon. Looks like it has had a bit of a make over.
