Massino vs Cali in terms of what? If they went to war? Terms of power? Or what? Actually, either way the Gambinos even today would wipe out the Bonannos of Massino's peak. Just in terms of pure numbers/manpower and in terms of the strength of their leadership. The Binos and the Genovese are like the Red Sox and Yankees.... not just top heavy but even their bench players are strong. The Massino Bonannos are like if you put Aaron Judge on the Padres, good top leader but the capos and soldiers were fairly week.

I'd say Cali's is longer but Massino's has more girth.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

I'll tell you what Cefalù and Cali have had good, easy runs. Out on the street since what 2008 or 2009 and nobody really bothering them.

Can you real want to start a fight Bonannos vs Gambinos ?

I'm not a criminal but Gambito rules.

ok.... well let me switch it....

bonannos/Massinos in 90s/2000s vs Gambinos 2000.

that can be argued. and i believe Massino would win in disputes for sure against binos back then.

it has been argued that during Massino reign the fam was POSSIBLY the top family. according to feds. followed by Genovese... not Gambinos.

Yea only after Gotti got sent away. Massino was a Gotti puppet for a couple years after Rusty died. The only reason the Bonannos got back on the commission is because of the Gambinos.

Prob massino. Big joe in his peak had way more experience with the life than cali. Highly doubt cali is as street smart as massino. Doubt cali’s done a peice work, prob never had his life at risk, and he’s never faced a life sentence (massino almost got a life sentence in the 1980’s).

I usually don't get in discussions of this type, but interesting no one is pointing out Cali's close connections to Sicily,he is very close to some of most powerful sicilian families. He is very powerful man.

After Gotti was ip and jr et al were trying to run the family... At said time I think it's fair to say massino was in better standing.

Prob why he chaired last commission meeting. This is not saying much. But during that period binos were in bad shape

@strax

I've long ago noticed that disconnect too..... bizarre, but many underrate the overseas connections.

I think Massino was the strongest politically in the late 90s- early 2000s.

The thing that always gives me a little pause is that Martino- Locascio operation that stole like 750 million.

I really dont think the Gambinos were hurting that much business wise. They were just stuck with the Gottis, who the Feds had a never ending hard on for....

Which kinda hurt EVERYTHING
