Martin Bregman, Scarface and Dog Day Afternoon producer, dies at 92

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Charles Krauthammer has died, The Washington Post confirmed Thursday. He was 68.

The announcement came nearly two weeks after the columnist and Fox News personality revealed in a Washington Post column that he only had weeks left to live. For most of the last year, he wrote, he’d been recovering from surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his abdomen. Though the procedure was initially thought to be successful, the cancer returned and began spreading rapidly.

“This is the final verdict,” he wrote. “My fight is over.”

This was one of the most intelligent people that I ever heard or read. I so enjoyed his comments on Bret Bier's All stars panel M-F especially during the election campaign. He was so cogent and made alot of sense.

A great loss, he was a smart man.

Vinnie Paul, the legendary drummer and co-founder of Texas metal band Pantera, has died at the age of 54. The cause of death has not been made public as of this writing.

World of Outlaws sprint car driver Jason Johnson died Sunday morning after he was involved in a crash Saturday night in a sprint car race at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Johnson was 41. He won the 2016 Knoxville Nationals, one of the biggest sprint car races in the United States.

‘Old Man’ From Pawn Stars Richard Harrison Dies Aged 77

It's kind of sad that 77 really isn't that old by today's standards. He'd been calling himself "Old Man" since the show premiered, almost a decade ago, when he was in his late 60's. Just goes to show that attitude and a sedentary lifestyle can be as much of a factor in an untimely death as drug use in the younger years would be, the latter having likely played a role in Anthony Bourdain's suicide.

I loved that old fart.

Just saw this earlier today, but it looks like Joe Jackson is on his way out from terminal cancer. I had him on list for the past years, and I think I took him out last year. At least I hope it was last year, and not for this year. Either way, looks like it will be days or a few weeks.

I didn't realize that there was another Joe Jackson in the music scene. As far as I know, he is still fine. Though, you could have totally jinxed him now, so I probably should add him to my list for next year.
