Castelvetrano, hunt for the accomplices of Messina Denaro.

Yet another police blitz in the night between Castelvetrano, Mazara del Vallo and the villages of the Valle del Belice, for the search for the fugitive mobster Matteo Messina Denaro. In total 130 police officers involved in the maxi operation in Sicily still in progress, belonging to the Mobile Teams of Trapani and Palermo and to the Central Operational Service.

They carried out checks and searches to hit the network of supporters of the fugitive - old mafiosi, professionals, traders - who in the past few years had been suspected of being supporters of the red primula of the Trapani mafia, wanted since June 1993.

Documents and materials defined as interesting were seized in the homes of some of the suspects, 19 in total. Once again it is confirmed that the inaction of the boss Matteo Messina Denaro is covered by subjects belonging to the so-called gray area of Cosa nostra, between professionals, politicians and exponents of Freemasonry, for the names that have emerged so far from the investigations.

Next Sunday, in Castelvetrano, a delegation from the national anti-Mafia commission will arrive, headed by its president, the pentastorked senator Nicola Morra.

In the Messina Denaro pizzini found between 2006 and 2007, there were traces of five unsuspected names.

The first was a politician that Bernardo Provenzano had "made available" to Messina Denaro. The second, a priest who wrote to him: "If you need the blessing of Jesus Christ, you know where and how to find me". The third, an entrepreneur who was ready to take over some shares of a company to do big business in the province of Trapani. The fourth, a "friend", who had been devoted to the old Messina Denaro, and now serves his son. The fifth is a printer who assured that he had printed a new document for the fugitive godfather. Five, and who knows how many others, still protect the fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro.

Three major Palermo bosses were recently released from prison. Giulio Caporrimo, regent of the mafia district that belonged to the Lo Piccolos. Salvo Genova, regent of the family of Resuttana and Domenico "Mico" Farinella, head of the district of San Mauro Castelverde.
In the meantime they have lost track of Giovanni Motisi, one of Europe's most wanted. Motisi known as u pacchiuni, 60, the boss of Pagliarelli sentenced to life imprisonment, has been a fugitive since 1993. Over the years the prosecutor's office in Palermo has never stopped scrutinizing all the ideas, which led investigators also to Spain, England, South America. However, no concrete trace of Giovanni Motisi has emerged.

The drug broker Paolo Lumia, from Mazara del Vallo (Trapani), was arrested in Bolivia. Lumia, 51, was released in the past few months, he had been obliged to stay but, however, had become unavailable. According to the investigators Lumia would manage trafficking of cocaine between Colombia and various countries of the world. He was based in Barcelona, Spain, for years and apparently he had a relationship with "the daughter of one of the largest South American drug traffickers".

Mafia: new blow to Agrigento clans, 9 arrests
Operation "siege", returns to the domiciliary municipal councilor

(ANSA) - AGRIGENTO, 12 JULY - The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Agrigento carried out 9 pre-trial detention orders issued against top executives and affiliates of the mafia families of "Cosa Nostra" in Licata (Ag) and Campobello di Licata (Ag) . The operation, carried out on the input of the Palermo District Anti-Mafia Directorate with the code name "Assedio", follows the investigation that on 19 June had already triggered 7 detentions for armed mafia association. The Carabinieri have thus dealt a new heavy blow to the mafia families of Licata and Campobello di Licata. Once again under house arrest for external competition in a Mafia association a local councilor in charge of Licata, Giuseppe Scozzari, who had resigned precisely following the first arrest. On him, the Public Prosecutors provided the Palermo magistrate with further elements that would have further strengthened the probationary framework. During the stalking, the carabinieri filmed summit and secret meetings between the top management and the mafia gang members. Even an extortion for construction work in Germany has been ascertained. Also documented the interests of the clan in the slot machine sector, through a compliant distribution company of electronic gaming equipment.

Forty years ago Giorgio Ambrosoli was shot dead in Milan. "The culmination of a certain way of doing finance, of a certain way of doing politics, of a certain way of doing economics"
The night of 11 July 1979, forty years ago, the lawyer Giorgio Ambrosoli was killed with three pistol shots under the house in Milan, in Via Morozzo della Rocca: he was 45 years old. From 1974 he was liquidator commissioner of the Italian Private Bank, an institution almost bankrupt by the Sicilian banker Michele Sindona, who had established relationships with very important pieces of politics, finance and organized Sicilian crime. The day after his death, on 12 July 1979, Ambrosoli should have signed a formal declaration to confirm the need to liquidate the bank and attribute responsibility for the situation to Michele Sindona.
The killer was the Italian-American mafioso William Aricò, who was later found to have been hired by Michele Sindona and paid with 25 thousand dollars in cash and another 90 thousand credited to a bank in Lugano.

11 people were arrested in Messina, 9 in prison and 2 under house arrest, accused of being part of a criminal gang that ran an international cocaine trade between South America and Sicily.

Among those arrested was Ramirez Della Rosa, ex-boyfriend of Marysthel Polanco, one of the so-called "olgettine", the girls who attended the "elegant" dinners organized in their residence in Arcore by former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

The lieutenant colonel Marco Alfio Zappalà was transferred under house arrest, arrested last April 16 along with the former mayor of Castelvetrano, Antonio Vaccarino, and another carabiniere. The investigation refers to the investigative context concerning the hunt for the fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro. The three are accused in various capacities by the Dda of Palermo (added Paolo Guido, substitutes Francesca Dessì and Piero Padova) of "abusive access to a computer system" and "disclosure of official secrets" and also to the former Dc politician is challenged the aggravating circumstance of having favored Cosa Nostra and the inaction of Matteo Messina Denaro.

The officer - in service with the Dia of Caltanissetta at the time of his arrest - left Enna prison on Saturday morning and has since been in his home, on the orders of the magistrate of the Palermo court, Piergiorgio Morosini, who has " partially accepted "the request of the lawyers Giuseppe Crescimanno and Claudio Gallina Montana. Last week the same investigating judge had canceled the house arrest for Giuseppe Barcellona, who has been on the loose since last July 22nd. Vaccarino, known for having corresponded with the fugitive Matteo Messina Denaro (in 2007) on behalf of Sisde, had been released from prison after just 15 days.

According to the indictment, Zappalà would have received from Barcelona (responsible for the transcription of the interceptions at the company of Castelvetrano) some 'screenshots' of conversations between two subjects subjected to investigation in which they commented on some aspects of the funeral of Lorenzo Cimarosa, collaborator of justice died due to a serious illness in January 2017. In turn the Lieutenant Colonel of the Dia would have sent the contents of these 'screenshots' to Vaccarino, who showed them to Vincenzo Santangelo, owner of a funeral home and already convicted of mafia. As part of the survey, the data contained in some IT devices seized from the three suspects were extrapolated, but content analysis is still ongoing.

The police of the Agrigento mobile squad arrested, in execution of a European arrest warrant, the 32-year-old of Favara, Mario Rizzo, a former collaborator, never admitted to the protection program, accused by the Belgian magistracy of conspiracy and drug trafficking.

Rizzo is accused of " being placed in an organization dedicated to the cultivation of doping plants ". The measure was carried out after Rizzo, who in the past few months started a collaboration with the law by first shedding light on an ambush against a restaurateur, then revealing alleged plots on the Belgium-Favara axis, he returned free having ceased precautionary measure in the investigation of the attempted murder.

The 32-year-old, who recently retracted saying that his had been "a false collaboration", has appointed Calogero, the lawyer, as defense counsel. The agents took him from his home waiting to hand him over to the Belgian authorities who, last summer, had already tried to execute the European arrest warrant but the concomitant Italian legal affair had blocked the extradition.

Its surprising how many Euro mobsters grow, and run grow ops.

The guys in the States dont seem to be as involved in Cali, Rado, Oregon, Michigan grow ops........

Also surprised if they didnt invest heavily in the legal sector...
