This week, the national public prosecutor's office of the Public Prosecution has demanded prison sentences of between 6 and 12 years against five suspects before the Overijssel court. One of the men sees the Public Prosecution Service as a pivotal figure in the international heroin trade. He is suspected of being involved in a series of shipments that have been arrested in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, among others. The suspects were arrested in March 2020, but the investigation had been running since 2018. In the summer and autumn of 2018, the name of an Eindhoven suspect (45) surfaced several times in police reports. He was specifically mentioned as (co-) financier and responsible for logistics for heroin transports in the port of Antwerp (954 and 1259 kilos). His name was also mentioned when 268 kilos of heroin was caught in the port of Genoa.
The Italian authorities had returned two kilos of heroin to the container, which was then packed in a warehouse in Roosendaal.
The OM demanded 12 years against the 45-year-old main suspect from Eindhoven. The Public Prosecution sees him as the 'pivot, organizer and intellectual perpetrator', the crucial player in the heroin market. He used his car as an office. After wiretapping equipment was placed in it by the police, a good view was gained of his role and the role of his co-suspects. The Public Prosecution sees the Eindhoven citizen as a kind of 'oil man': he has 'pawns' in crucial places at home and abroad, which ensure that the heroin is placed between regular deck cargo. All kinds of practical matters were also arranged for him. He himself arranged (fictitious) companies and sheds and transported them to the Netherlands. In the Netherlands he was then actively involved in the further distribution of heroin to other places in the Netherlands and Germany.

Dubai police arrest wanted criminal Tommy van der S.
John van den Heuvel and Mick van Wely 1 hour ago

Despite the absence of an extradition treaty, he will probably be deported to the Netherlands, if his identity has been definitively confirmed, because Van der S. traveled with a false Irish passport.

Van der S. has been on the national investigation list for quite some time and was also wanted by Interpol. Police and OM want him behind bars because he has to serve a nine-year sentence for drug trafficking, money laundering and assault.

Southern Spain

For a long time, the police suspected that Van der S. was hiding in southern Spain, but he seems to have lived in Dubai recently. There he was arrested by the police at the airport. It turned out that he was in possession of false identity papers, namely a false Irish passport. An Englishman who was with him has also been arrested. It would be a certain Mandy.

A spokesman for the national prosecutor's office said on Thursday afternoon that he was not yet aware of the arrest. However, other sources confirm the arrest. A liaison officer of the Dutch police in Dubai is conducting an investigation on the spot and is in contact with the judicial authorities in the United Arab Emirates.

Ridouan Taghi

Dubai has been hunting more fanatically for internationally wanted criminals who are hiding there for a year and a half. Ridouan Taghi was able to live in luxury for a longer period of time, until Morocco, the Netherlands and the US urged the authorities to have his arrest.

Mafia head Rafaelle Imperiale, who is wanted by Italy, has lived in Dubai for years and Roger Lips, who was wanted for bankruptcy fraud, has also been hiding there for years.

Increase in Dutch drug labs across the Belgian and German borders
May 7, 2021

The Belgian and German police are increasingly seeing Dutch drug labs in the border area. Due to the lack of cooperation between the police forces on both sides of the border, drug criminals reduce their chances of being caught. This has emerged from research by KRO-NCRV's Pointer platform.

In Belgium, a total of 28 drug labs were dismantled in 2020, a third more than in 2019. The majority has a link with Dutch drug criminals, says Marc Vancoillie, commissioner at the Belgian federal police.

In the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, close to the Dutch border, three drug labs have been dismantled in recent years. An analysis of the raw materials found there, trace research and Dutch vehicles found there shows that the perpetrators come from the Netherlands. Germany also sees mainly Dutch involvement in drug dumping in nature.

According to Vancoillie, Dutch drug criminals are more often moving to Germany and Belgium to stay under the radar. 'They are not known in Belgium, here they can just walk down the street. Conversely, we cannot just get into the car and take actions in the Netherlands.'

Experts point out that police forces' cooperation between the three countries is not going smoothly. German police commissioner Andreas Heisig argues for better cooperation: 'Differences in the legal system time and again lead to difficulties with communication, because the German police makes requests for information while the Dutch police classifies such a case as unimportant. And the suspects know that. '

In January 2019, three people in their twenties from Brabant were found dead in a drug lab in Hechtel-Eksel (photo), just across the Dutch-Belgian border. They perished from the toxic fumes. Police arrested two men a few months later on suspicion of involvement in the lab.

Woman dies after gunmen open fire on car in Amsterdam
Crime May 17, 2021 Photo: Depositphotos.com A woman has died in hospital after her car was hit by a hail of gunfire in Amsterdam’s Nieuw-West district. The woman’s car was attacked by two men with automatic weapons as she drove down Maassluisstraat at around 7.40pm on Sunday, police said. The 27-year-old victim drove on to a hospital after the incident but died later in the evening from her injuries, AT5 reported. Her passenger was unhurt. Dozens of spent shells were recovered from the street, while the windows of two flats were damaged by bullets. Camera footage taken by local residents shows the gunmen fleeing in a silver-grey car driven by a third person. A 20-year-old man was arrested soon afterwards in connection with the incident, but police would not say what his involvement was. A Volkswagen Caddy van was found burned out in the nearby August Vermeylenstraat later on Sunday. Police have not confirmed whether it was used in the shooting.

Media is reporting the hit is retaliation after the liquidation of henchman Piet Costa. The intended target of the attack would be a brother-in-law of Dutch-Iranian Ali D. According to De Telegraaf, this Ali D. is seen as one of the greatest cocaine bosses in the Netherlands. In the drug world he is described as “the new Ridouan Taghi”.

The victim Ayla Mintjes 'often fell for bad boys'. Her boyfriend Anis B. was the suspected target of the attack. He came into contact with the law from an early age. Mintjes worked in a tanning salon in Diemen. In addition, the stylist was busy setting up her own company, specialized in eyebrow care.

Amsterdam criminal Etou's Belserang, former leader of motorcycle club Satudarah, has died of a heart attack. You can read this on the Instagram page of the Amsterdam rap veteran Sugacane.

Belserang (46) had a long criminal career that started way back in the late 1980s. Raised in South Amsterdam, the young Etou soon came into contact with Gwenette Martha (liquidated in the spring of 2014). Initially, the group around Martha is involved in theft, but later they switch to armed robbery and drug trafficking.

He survived several attempts on his life.

Etou's brother Boneka was said to be involved in multiple liquidations. Boneka, together with the criminal Yassin Chakor, was shot dead in February 2009 at a pancake house along the A4 near Leiderdorp.

In March Etou's drove with his motorcycle in front at the funeral of the liquidated Martin van de Pol (alias Polletje).

State witness Nabil B. has opted out of his agreement with the Public Prosecution Service (OM) and no longer wants to testify in the Marengo trial for the time being, his lawyer said. According to B., the Justice Department did not comply with previous agreements regarding the safety of him and his family while pursuing their case against 17 people suspected of multiple assassinations, attempted assassinations, and assassination plots, Nu.nl reported.

The Marengo process is a trial of key organized crime members, including Ridouan Taghi who was sought for years by Dutch authorities. He was finally arrested in Dubai at the end of 2019.

‘Rico de Chilean’ gets 11 years for liquidations
8 hours ago

Richard R., 47, aka ‘Rico de Chilean’, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison. The judge has determined this in the extra-secure court at Schiphol.

R. was found guilty of leading a criminal organization that committed liquidations and was involved in money laundering. According to the judge, he led that organization together with Ridouan Taghi, among others.

Evidence for this came mainly from intercepted encrypted crypto messages between members of the organization. According to the judge, those reports give a “disappointing and abhorrent” picture of the way in which the criminal group thought it could use life and death, with revenge or money as the motive.

The Public Prosecution Service had demanded fourteen years in prison against the Chilean Amsterdammer.

The sentence was lower because according to the judge it has not been proven that R. was part of a gang that traded in cocaine. He was also acquitted of gun possession. In addition, the judge deducted a year from the sentence because of the length of the trial.

Richard R. has already served a long prison sentence in Germany for drug trafficking, NH Nieuws reports. In 2017, he was arrested and extradited in Chile at the request of the Netherlands. Since then he has been in the Extra Secure Institution in Vught.

I follow the Marengo trial on Twitter. According to the OM, Rico the Chilean forged "filthy and intimate ties" with other criminals, such as Ridouan Taghi. The prosecutors called Rico and Taghi "the Brangelina of the underworld."LOL

Escaped criminal Gerel P., suspected of ties to Taghi, arrested in Brazil

The Brazilian police have arrested the fugitive Dutch criminal Gerel P., the Dutch Public Prosecution Service confirms. P. was arrested in an apartment in Barra da Tijuca, a suburb of Rio de Janeiro. Further details about his arrest are not yet known.

38-year-old P. was convicted in absentia in the Netherlands for two murder attempts after he managed to escape from a Surinamese cell in 2017. He is also associated with the circle around Ridouan Taghi.

At the end of 2016, P. shot two men from Rotterdam without provocation near a meadow in Noordeloos, near Gorinchem. They were seriously injured, but survived the assassination attempt.

A few months later, P. was arrested in Suriname by an arrest team. After 11 days in pre-trial detention, he escaped from prison with the help of a firearm. Then he disappeared without a trace.

The Public Prosecution Service is going to ask for the extradition of P. This could take several months, depending on his willingness to cooperate in his return to the Netherlands.

Police and justice fear a very violent liberation attempt to get Ridouan Taghi from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught. Even before his arrest in Dubai in 2019, Taghi is said to have already made plans and paid money to be released from prison.

This is apparent from information from a decision of the appeals committee of the Council for the Application of Criminal Law and Youth Protection (RSJ) this spring, which De Telegraaf reported on for the first time. Taghi's lawyers appealed against the decision to extend Taghi's imprisonment once again in the Vught institution.

A cousin of Taghi is said to be looking for people to carry out the outbreak, according to information from the Criminal Intelligence Team. "We would be looking for a mediator who will receive several tens of millions of euros for this," the ruling reads. There would also be a command group, possibly from the Balkans, with heavy weapons at its disposal.

Kidnapping Dutch diplomat
According to De Telegraaf, Taghi would also have ordered an investigation into whether a Dutch diplomat could be kidnapped in Africa to serve as change for his release. This plan is seen as realistic by the investigative services and taken very seriously.

His lawyer Inez Weski says in a response to the newspaper that the information on which the RSJ relies "probably outdated rumours. To date, there has been no evidence of an escape attempt."

Social risk
A threat report has also been drawn up in the RSJ's ruling. Based on information from the Criminal Intelligence Team (TCI), it then became clear that a very violent escape attempt might be made.

Partly for this reason, the appeals committee rejected the lawyers' appeal. Taghi, the ruling states, "is an unacceptable social risk in the event of escaping".

The EBI in Vught where Taghi is now held is a kind of prison within a prison. It is so heavily guarded that no one has ever escaped:

The 31-year-old alleged Amsterdam hitman Jeffrey S., who was recently arrested in Spain, was celebrating his birthday at that time in a pub in Torremolinos. This is reported by the Spanish police. S. is a friend of the Amsterdam criminal Omar Lkhorf, who was sentenced to life in prison. Both are considered part of the group of Houssine Ait S., leader of the Mocro mafia. He was on the run from the Dutch authorities, where he is suspected of involvement in several liquidations that took place there. The Dutch police tipped the Guardia Civil in June that S. might be in Mijas, after which the investigation continued.

Jeffrey S. was arrested in Spain in 2018 together with a Norwegian and two other Dutch suspects for the liquidation of a Colombian, in August 2016 in Mijas (southern Spain). His co-defendants were the Amsterdam criminal Hicham M., who has since been sentenced to life in prison, and Mitchell Jansen, who was liquidated in Colombia at the end of 2016. The Colombian died on the spot, his girlfriend was seriously injured in the assassination attempt. A total of 12 shots were fired at the couple. S. was detained in Spain for two years as a suspect, but was released after the trial was postponed. He had not returned to court since then and remained a fugitive.

According to the Spanish police, the four suspects belonged to a group of hitmen. The Dutch authorities state that Jeffrey S. was the facilitator of several murders in the Netherlands and was in direct contact with the gunmen by providing them with information and weapons.

S. is also associated with the liquidation of a Frenchman in his sixties near Marbella at the end of 2019. S. is said to have worn a mask of The Joker and shot the Frenchman with five bullets..

A 37-year-old man from Capelle aan den IJssel who was shot Friday evening while walking his dog, has succumbed to his injuries. The victim was shot on late Friday evening on the Valerius roundabout in his hometown. Medical help was to no avail. He died in hospital, police said.

The man was hit several times. Witnesses called the police, who found him seriously injured on the street.

Almost at the same time, a car was on fire on the Burgemeester van Beresteijnlaan. Police are investigating whether the two cases are related.

On Monday, August 30, the District Court of the Central Netherlands in the heavily secured Bunker in Amsterdam-Osdorp will start with the substantive treatment of the extensive Eris trial about liquidations and liquidation attempts in the underworld. A total of 64 hearing days are planned for the substantive treatment, including extension days. The court is expected to rule in July 2022.

Criminal trial Eris mainly revolves around a group of suspects who, according to the judiciary, had a (management) role at motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh. The Public Prosecution Service suspects a total of 21 suspects, including crown witness Tony de G., of, among other things, five liquidations and multiple attempts and orders to do so.

Prime suspects in the trial are alleged "murder broker" and Caloh Wagoh president Delano "Keylow" R. (50) and his alleged "counselor" Greg R. (72). According to justice, Delano R. would have had liquidations carried out on behalf of Ridouan Taghi.

Taghi ordered motorcycle gang to kill 50 people, key witness says
According to Tony de G., key witness in the extensive assassination trial around motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh, there were about fifty names on a list of assassinations that had to be carried out. So there was "enough work for a whole period", main suspect Delano R. allegedly told the key witness. All but one of the names on that hit list is said to have come from alleged top criminal Ridouan Taghi.

The key witness spoke about this on Wednesday, the third day of the substantive treatment of the trial, called Eris, in the extra-security court in Amsterdam-Oosdorp. Eris revolves around multiple assassinations and attempts thereto. The Public Prosecution Service thinks Delano R. acted as a kind of "murder broker". He is said to have accepted assassination orders and then distributed them within the motorcycle club.

The lawyers of various suspects have serious doubts about the statements of the key witness and their reliability. In his own words, De G. "played with his cards completely open" in his statements and "spared no one".

De G. turned witness after he was arrested in Spain for the murder of Jair Wessels, who was shot dead in Breukelen in July 2017.

The crown witness Tony de G. is a traveller it's very rare travellers cooperating with the Justice Department, they live by a code of silence. He's even going to testify against his own father and best friend.

The traveller Martien Reuvers aka Godfather of OSS was sentenced to 16 years for leading a criminal organization dedicated to drugs- and arms trafficking and thefts. Thirteen of his family members were also sentenced.

Europol: The Netherlands and Belgium are the epicenter of the European cocaine market
September 8, 2021
The Netherlands and Belgium have supplanted Spain as the epicenter for cocaine imports into Europe. This is apparent from a new report by Europol and the UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) on the cocaine market in Europe. Criminal organizations often use the major ports in Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg, whereby 'the role of the Netherlands as a transit zone is consolidated'.

Dutch suspects
The report called Cocaine Insights 1 reports that the epicenter of the European cocaine market has shifted northward. Between the beginning of 2018 and the end of 2020, almost sixty percent of the suspects arrested for batches of cocaine of 100 kilos and more had Dutch nationality. It concerned a total of 51 Dutch suspects.

Albanians were the largest group with 266 arrested suspects. Sixty percent of these were mainly involved in the trade in smaller batches of cocaine from 10 grams to one kilo. Of the 144 Moroccans arrested, 75 percent were involved in these smaller parties.

65.6 tons of coke
Europol reports that in 2020 a total of 65.6 tons of cocaine was seized in Antwerp. The drugs mainly came from Colombia, Brazil and Ecuador. The most cocaine was shipped to Belgium, followed by Spain and the Netherlands. Most of the cocaine that reaches Antwerp is probably intended for organizations operating from the Netherlands, from where the cocaine is further distributed to other European countries.

Belgium previously reported that groups of Moroccan and Albanian ethnicity involved in cocaine trafficking in the port of Antwerp have expanded their role in cocaine purchasing and building contacts in South America.
