I hope the G doesn't appeal. I'm tired of seeing tax dollars wasted on shit like this. Yes, I know if he broke the law he should be accountable, but still. How much money can go to trying to send guys to jail for crimes committed years ago? How much bullshit is going on now?

I'm not trying to say give crimes committed years ago a free pass but if they allocated that money to solve crimes that occurred last week wouldn't it be better for everyone? I don't know what I'm trying to say, I just think going after shit that happened 40 years ago doesn't make sense. Anyone agree with me or am I crazy?

Alrite just read NY daily the fucking guard who got pistoled whiped said the jury came to the right conclusion and the cousin gaspare was lying and wasn't there wtf. This shit is nuts. Asaro told his cousin to enjoy the government 3k ammonth I don't know what to believe. Was asaro really in on the heist. Maybe that's why massino didn't get on the stand he was surposed to say he was his capo Dec 78 but he didn't become a capo till after galante murder summer79? he already said that would be a conflicting statement. Jets suck. What the hell did sal vitale testify about my brother in-law told me some shit. Nuts. Hmike yaeh huge waste of money all them perp walk pics to the federal house and now his big ass smile across the news someones in trouble. And just my guess this guy is the most known mobster in NYC today cause of this good or bad probaly bad for anyone he's still hangs with. Will the social clubs let him in after he told the world he don't pay his dues ha-ha.

It's pretty sad that the fed can't put away this kind of low hanging fruit.

Will never happen because:

1. You don't get special treatment for doing what you're supposed to do.

2. He bad mouthed his boss on the wire.

He's as good as shelved. Twenty or thirty years ago he'd have been hoping for a conviction because it's safer inside. Today you don't have to worry so much. But he's done.

Is he?

Guy stood tall. Was previously elevated to capo. Ex ruling panel considered possible future boss potential.

The only thing that's changed is he proved his nuts at age 80 that he's prepared to go down with the ship.
With the gang that couldn't shoot straight that should increase his already solid credentials, let alone result in a shelving.

So I've got to disagree

In my humble opinion.

Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison.
I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate...

He's loathed by the current administration, Sonny. And guys with much better credentials have been put out to pasture at his age. It would be different if he was still earning. But when you can't bring it in at his age, they'll retire you in a heartbeat. And aside from being universally disliked, he still has to answer for what he said about Tommy on tape.

So agree to disagree with me. But you'll see whistle.

Government's job to provide burden of proof. If they can't do it, don't indict someone.

What consequences will Asaro face now for bad-mouthing his boss? He was already basically retired so he can't be shelved , apparently he's broke so he can't get taxed, whats going to happen to him?

Nothing. He can't earn. He can't show his face at his old haunts. No one wants anything to do with him. That's his punishment. And for a lifetime wiseguy, that's as bad as it gets.

Pizza said it, nothing will happen to this dude. He's no threat to anyone, so why would they risk it by clipping him? Makes no sense. He's old and he's broke.

There a good times article about how the feds have been loosing more mafia cases now then before and they forgot a few more the genovese guy romenello and check from mass that beat to murders and the Colombo guy faresse. They touch on Joe eagerly and Tommy shot and a few others. They get alot of lawyers thoughts. Bad looking giving Valenti a FBI pension basiclay. Guy been a crook his whole life and they throw him a bone. And asaro never mention shit on tape he just grunts or agreas with his cousin but never says anything to incriminating.

Speaking to someone who knows him well , If he was smart he would retire. Problem is he's broke. He wanted Gerald McMahon as his lawyer and couldn't afford him. People chipped in for his lawyers
