Does anyone know if Salt ( table salt) - is manufactured and produced any different now than when our Parents or GrandParents purchased it the same way we do now?

I find this interesting and think it can be and is the difference in many handed down recipes for the families as well as resturant chefs being unable to duplicate the same results.

knowing how much salt to add can make or break any recipe. I used to think this with Sugar but it's more of a Salt thing.

I'd say yes.
Don't know how or why, but recipes now recommend kosher salt or sea salt instead of table salt.

probably some cost cutting measure ....or they remove the iodine from table salt

Older people are generally of a tougher stock than we are because they grew up in era where foods weren't as processed as they are in our time.

Agree, I think salt is actually stronger now since it's loaded with other elements making it taste different.

Stronger.

So they need actually less real salt.

Do you know that you can remove tattoos by rubbing salt on it for some time. It's painful but it works.

Did not know that.

I'll tell my wife, she has a secret Tat.... no one would ever think this lady has a tattoo, but she does.

LoL

Just salted some Garden tomato and mottzie balls in EVO, oregano also of course.

Ho

Crap

This is wild and also just heard of it being very popular to remove tattoo's, from bodies. So they can be passed down as keepsakes.

I was not heading there but apparently Salt has a big part of this process.
