As I must ask periodically..... Is it really necessary to OWN that many titles?? Except for "necessary" titles, or extremely cheap titles (like Wal-Mart's $5 bin), I've been renting for the longest time. In fact, I might even sell some off as there are many I never watch -- most just once or twice -- and a couple are still even shrink-wrapped after years of sitting there! (Wanna buy some? ) But 819 (and counting) is just crazy. Even at only $10 apiece that's over $8,000. Include boxed sets and stuff you paid full price for, you've probably spent at least $12-15,000+ on these things. And from what I can tell, there's a LOT of shit in your collection. There's plenty of shit in mine, too, but most I've had for years. BTW, has your penis gotten any bigger since DVD #1? (What was DVD #1, anyway? Mine was the soon-to-be out of print Scarface I got in '97 (I think) before I even got a DVD player)

You guys know I love LAW AND ORDER, but they never show the "Ben Stone" episodes on TNT. Well, hardly ever. Anyway, I picked up the third season on eBay for $25. It came yesterday and I've watched about 5 episodes so far. This was Jerry Orbach's first season, having replaced Paul Sorvino about a third of the way through the year. He and Logan (Chris Noth) had a fantastic chemistry right off the bat. And Michael Moriarty as DA Ben Stone was every bit as intense as his successor (Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy) would turn out to be. Great acting all around. If you're a fan, you should try to at least rent these if you can, because as I said, TNT rarely shows them.

Ghost remains one of my favorites. I have it on VHS, as I do most of my old movies. Of course my VCR bit the dust, so nothing to show it on Thank goodness I don't have a huge collection. Anyway, I remember seeing Ghost at the theater. I liked it so much I went back with my daughters the next day to see it again. I never do that. TIS
