Remember when when S. Rushdie wrote The Satanic Verses? A number of Muslim clerics issued Fatwahs calling for his death.
Just asking here...has any Muslim cleric issued a Fatwah against ISIS or ISIL or whatever these terrorists are called? I have not seen one. Just asking.

Is there a fatwah. I suppose. But all of the wahs I've ever come across are on the thinner side.

That's the thing, Yogi. If you say they're "all the same," their apologists will tell you that you're part of the problem because you don't "understand" them, or what "drove them to it," blah blah blah rolleyes.

But they ARE all the fucking same, in that they're all murdering scumbags who don't deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of civilized society. This beheading is so over the top evil that I'm seriously rethinking my world view all together.

Now, is it a knee-jerk reaction to say that I'd advocate killing off these entire countries, with the exception of Israel, with precise nuclear strikes, and then starting over?

Sure it is, and I'm probably talking out of my ass when I say that. But it is getting to that point ohwell.

The composure of people who are about to be beheaded always amazes me. I wish I could have a fraction of that composure in the same situation.

The lack of humanity in certain sections of society amazes me - Mexican cartels, Israel, jihadists..... it's depressing.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

ISIS is the hot topic nowadays and it may look as if the Taliban is dying out, but to be honest the organization is probably still living forth somehwere inside the maggot-ridden brains of some local lunatics who possibly aren't even religious, but THINK that they are (which is a lot fucking worse). I bet that 90% of those kind of hatred spewing cockroaches haven't even read their own book. Now I know firsthand that most Muslims are more than alright, but anybody involved in or even approving of massacres, killings, ethnic cleansings -let alone medieval fucking live beheadings- in the name of religion (something which initial idea is to give a person his own personal peace of mind) isn't worth a dog's turd and should be wiped clean off the face of this earth.

This group, IS, are apparently well resourced, financially and morally. They looted 500 million from mosul banks and, no doubt as a result, are well armed. The local forces against IS are on sky tv 'calmy' begging for extra weaponary against these fuckers.

The sad fact is that the USA stupidly instigated the Iraq conflict and for every iraqi they killed, they created 1000 martyrs. Thats why IS are gaining ground and, my opinion is they are not a 'terrorist group'- its a growing army of people who hate democracy.

Whilst I accept the middle east isnt the most reasonable of places, The USA is arguably the most unreasonable (regarding foreign policy)

And WHY is the media so concerned about catching the murderer of the journalist? Itd be great to catch him and cut his balls off, but why? Its just the media trying to push public focus onto a specific person to increase general hysteria (basic shit)

There was just one fatwa for killing Rushdi and it was from Khomeini, the late supreme leader of Iran, which in turn further complicated the foreign affairs of the country and made many criticize him .They somewhat overturned it when he died. Fatwa is essentially a new ruling made by a high ranking cleric on modern day issues. For instance the present supreme leader has made one against the nuclear weapons, no doubt in order to take Iran out of the jam of sanctions that was imposed because International community suspected Iran of military nuclear activities.

At any case, for him to issue a fatwa against ISIS, it means to declare war on some territories in Iraq. Killing a person is one thing, declaring a war on a group is another. I think the Shia rulers/majority of Iran have an interest to deal with the ISIS, and they will, one way or another. But the supreme leader wont be issuing a fatwa, that's for sure. Some Shia cleric in Iraq however did issue Jihad fatwas against the ISIS for Iraqi people.

To paraphrase Kurt Russell . . . as (Wyatt Earp):

ISIS is finished, you understand?

I see an ISIS flag, I kill the man holdin' it!

Tell all the others 'cause the U.S. is comin'!

You tell 'em we're coming... and Hell's coming with us, you hear?...

Hell's coming with us ! ! !
