hey guys, does anyone here know if the USA has serious vigilante groups (death squads/punishment squads) that go around killing gang members and drug dealers? I've heard of the Black Shadow in El Salvador and how they kill MS-13 gang members but nothing in America (Spiderman maybe ;))

All info would be appreciated, cheers

Good question,i haven't heard of many vigilante groups but i did hear about a teens going around beating up homeless crackheads who would beg on street corners, but thats all ive herd

Well im sure there is a group or individual out who kills criminals but there are police officers out there who deal with issues that they see while they working and they take matters into there own hands while off duty...

I haven't heard anything about vigilantes currently, but I suspect that there could be some of them in the future as the country is so fractured. Just look at the hate between Republicans and democrats and many other groups.

There have been a few on the US-Mexican border that track and report illegal immigrants or confront people that hire them like the Minutemen, Ranch Rescue, and Save Our State.

Obviously, given the territory, they knowingly or unknowingly overlap with right wing skinhead groups and whatever legitimacy their cause has is ruined.

I agree, these scumbags that are poisoning our kids and families need to be stopped. I hate to say this given what I do for a living but I' starting to think these substances should be legalized, the bad players removed and as a result the harm done minimized. We are badly losing the war on drugs and so many lives in the process IMO.

I have an idea lets round up the Outback Crew, you get in touch with Matty "8 GUNS" Mozzarella and I'll contact Bessy "THE BIG CHEESE" Romano and we'll take it to these drug dealers wink

We had one in the 80's, only he was alone. Guy named Bernard Goetz. He got put away before he even got started. Nicknamed The Subway Vigilante.

I'm sure there are more groups/communities that have their own militias down south. You don't see or hear anything about them because they are isolated areas that not even law enforcement know about or would travel to in fears of never coming back.

I'd imagine that it'd be very difficult to establish such powerful paramilitaries in New York and LA in particular. Gangs are rife in those cities.
